FM Flute

OK this patch is sort of academic. I wanted to create a patch that highlighted how much power is in the little 2 operator FM sub patch I created.

OK first off it is not the most realistic flute sound ever. This was a proof of concept with the improved module.

It basically handles three different sounds in one as each part of the flute. The attack brightness is the modulation, it mellows as it goes to the sustain. But also using the carrier feedback loop to create a chiff at the beginning of the note. One little caveat/warning. Be careful how you play this as the chiff can get loud if you play fast. Not a velocity thing but a playing style thing. The problem is the chiff envelope can reset before the overall carrier envelope resets. The chiff envelope controls the level of feedback but the carrier volume is a final overall.

Truth be told I would be better off just using a noise node for the chiff separate from the FM sub patch. But again this was proof of concept of how much can be done with the simple 2 operator fm sub patch and at the same time a reasonable amount of realism for certain instruments.
