Hey folks, I'm new to Audulus, and relatively new to synthesis. Been playing around and am really happy I picked up the app.
Had a really simple idea but didn't notice it mentioned in the forums (so simple it's not worth uploading a patch). I've hooked up an input to an envelope follower and used it to modulate the amplitude of some oscillators. So,
input -> env follow -> osc amplitude
I've been able to use it for:
- routing a drum machine via audiobus to create a stutter effect on my oscillators
- playing a "violin-like" instrument by rubbing the iPad mic a certain way while playing the keys
- creating my own ocarina app.. ;) Actually, with an external keyboard, it's more like a melodica or something
Nothing profound. Just thought it was an interesting technique that might prove useful elsewhere.
